The ART Fuels Forum Project will organize a Panel discussion entitled: “Advanced biofuels – the voice of the industry” in the upcoming EUSEW 2017 to be held in Brussels on the 22nd of June.
The Policy Conference of EUSEW is the most important European conference dedicated to sustainable energy policy issues. Sessions organised by the European Commission and energy stakeholders debate new policy developments, best practices and sustainable energy ideas, while networking events forge alliances.
The panel discussion targets to bring together representatives of a broad spectrum of stakeholders and inform them about the current landscape in the policy and market of the advanced, sustainable, alternative and renewable transportation fuels (ART-Fuels). The panel session aims at discussing the barriers hindering a wider exploitation of ART-Fuels in Europe and to present the industry’s perspective in view of the recently updated 2030 energy strategy.
The specific objectives are (a) to highlight the EU policy and market framework on ART-Fuels and to discuss policy and regulation needs to facilitate market uptake, especially under the recent elaboration of forthcoming Directive for Renewables (RED II) and to (b) increase of awareness on the perspective of ART Fuels among the main stakeholders and the policymakers.
